My name is Amaya Senn and I am currently completing my thesis as partial fulfillment for fourth year psychology at Bond University under the supervision of Lucas Ford. I am conducting a research investigation on the impacts of various social media use profiles on psychological wellbeing and perfectionism, and the role of self-compassion in this process. As part of this study, I will invite you to finish various questionnaires, this will take about 40 minutes or less.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and older. Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without risking any negative consequences. If you choose to withdraw your participation in this study, the information you have provided will be immediately destroyed. The information we obtain from you will be dealt with in a manner that ensures you remain anonymous and will be treated with complete confidentiality. Submitting a completed questionnaire/survey is an indication of your consent to participate in the study. You can withdraw any time prior to submitting your completed questionnaire/survey; however, once you have submitted your questionnaire/survey anonymously, your responses cannot be withdrawn.

Data will be stored in a secured research data store at Bond University for a period of 5 years in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee and the Research Data Management Policy. It is anticipated that the data collected during this study will assist us in understanding potential impacts of various social media use profiles on psychological well-being and perfectionism.
Your participation in this study will enhance work towards providing a better understanding of the relationships between self-compassion, perfectionism, social media usage, and overall psychological well-being.
